Accounts Assistant - Property Sector
Crawley/Remote - Hybrid 
To 28k + bonus


EMBS Property are representing a client in the BTR sector looking for an amazing Accounts Assistant to the central finance team.

Outline responsibilities:
  • Ensuring all invoices/charges are raised accurately in the property management system
  • Preparation of monthly Direct Debit collection files 
  • Allocating all payments received from residents and completing daily bank reconciliations
  • Record and reporting on cash received 
  • Prepare daily/weekly reporting on collection progress and management of outstanding payments  
  • Processing journal adjustments
  • Management of bad debt provisions and write offs on a monthly basis
  • Run the return of rental deposits to residents to include transfers and system updates  
  • Prepare weekly reconciliations of resident deposit revenue
  • Resident case management - supporting the Property Managers to include billing/payment enquiries
  • Undertake relevant legal processes to recover unpaid amounts from persistent non-payers
Experience prefered:

The Property/Accommodation or Services Sector, experience of residential rental collections and knowledge of relevant recovery routes.   

Accounting processes to include raising income charges, allocating cash received  and preparing bank reconciliations. 

Verbal stakeholder management and used to speak to, chasing and time management, experienced in debt control and result driven and ideally completed or in the process of undertaking AAT.
